For those not in the know...

I finally had my appointment at the Spine and Orthopedic clinic yesterday. I saw the Nurse Practitioner. She said my xrays were ok. The only obvious thing about them is my 6th lumbar (that's not new to me, however, a normal person has 5) and my 'C' curve in my lumber is straightening out. I'm more hook shaped than C-shaped. Going to go to PT for 6 weeks and get an MRI. I was given a corset to wear while doing activities that strain my back (lifting, cleaning, etc.). Sarah says it makes my boobs look big. They are big but apparently it makes it worse. I also have mucle relaxers (which I need to pick up from Rite Aid) and a TENS unit (a home electrical stimulation machine). I go to see the Doctor after my MRI and stuff in January. That's my back update.

Runyon sent me these.

Xmas wants

So people are asking me what I want for Xmas. Bryan and Sarah posted their Amazon wish list, so I'm going to copy them and post mine too. If you are interested in knowing what I want for Xmas look here.

I dislike USC.

That is all.

Happy Turkey Day!!!

Thanksgiving dinner number one down...one more to go! Happy Turkey Day! This morning I was up early to go to work. After work Alan and I swung by the Mobritton's to say 'hi' and drop off a heating pad. Then Alan and I had dinner with his mom Linda and brother Eric at Marie Callenders. It was tasty. The sweet potatoes were brown sugar-tastic. Right now we are winding down from dinner number one before travelling to dinner number two at Will and Carrie's. Hope everyone enjoys there day!

Don't have a lot to say....

So Aimee says I need to blog more. She said my quota is twice a week. I don't really have enough interesting things going on in my life to warrent that many blogs. This weekend was another trip to LA. Aimee and I carpooled. Having a second person in the car breaks up the drive. The drive didn't seem nearly as bad. Friday night was low key. Saturday was football, errands, taking a walk, and going to the jam. Sunday was shopping in Santa Monica for Xmas presents before returning home.

Today was a weird day. Lots of people went to the hospital. I was a busy girl after work. I went to get my allergy shot, exercised, and scrubbed the cat from another room of the house. One more room to go then I focus on cleaning the furniture.

Tomorrow night will probably be more of the same.

Just for the record, I'm lazy.

Long time no post. The subject explains it all. Housesitting at my coworker David's tonight. The Zera's and I are sharing duties. After work I went home to pack for LA, went to get an allergy shot, and visited my coworker, Rick, in the hospital before heading to David and Russell's to feed the dogs. He had surgery on his colon. He is definitely doing better than originally, but won't be going home as soon as he hoped. I'm wearing my nifty new ankle weights. Was hoping to go for a walk, but I had to return the pair I bought last night, so I ran out of time. I figure if I wear them while outside playing with the dogs and while I do laundry and walk around the house, I'm getting more exercise than not. They are travelling to LA with me. I figured that I have the stairmaster at home, I need something exercise worthy at Alan's

Been doing some hardcore Christmas shopping. Trying to get done before Thanksgiving so I can mail that out by the first of December. However, if you refer to the subject, it may not happen. Maybe this weekend. I've got a pretty good chunk done.

For Turkey Day this year, I have to work in the morning. After work, I am travelling to 3 dinners. Never had to do the holiday jumping before. It will be a new experience. Alan and my first stop is Marie Callenders with Alan's mom and brother. Then we will head to the White family's house before making our final stop at the Mobritton's for dessert. It shall be a full day before heading to work on Friday. The crappy part about working in health care is the lack of holidays off. Maybe next year if I am a student I can swing that.

Speaking of being a student, I finally called Cal State LA and they don't begin processing summer quarter applications until early spring. That's kind of crappy. However, they do process them in the order they were received. Since I applied in August, it means that I will be one of the first if not the first one processed. That's nice. Yay me!

That's pretty much it on my end. What's going on in yours?

"Hey laserlips, your mama was a snowblower!"

So I tried to electrocute myself at work today. It was awesome! (Not really.) I was unplugging my patient's tube feed machine from the wall and the plug was tough to pull. I got it half out and repositioned my hand to grab the plug better and stuck my finger right on the prong. I definitely felt that all the way up my arm. Sarah saw the current up the wire. I will have to say I felt funny for a little while afterwards. Now I can say my brain has been reprogrammed.
