Still kicking, but barely

It's been a rough week. Instead of staying home and studying like my roommates did, I went to Fresno to meet up with Alan and hang with Will, Carrie, Fritzen, John, Paige, and Jeff. I got very little studying done and have been trying to catch up all week. Comps are in 10 days.

On a lighter note, my supervisor told me she can tell I'm working hard, and she said I'm doing a good job. She can see improvement in my lessons as the days go on. That was reassuring. Sounds like she's going to pass me :)

Nothing else to report. Just more studying. I've memorized the definitions for the 10 categories of IDEA plus the IDEA definitions for deaf-blind and multiple disabilities. Now I get to work on Special Ed. law!! Yippee! Sounds riveting doesn't it?

Not dead, just busy

I've been furiously working on getting my study guides for my comp exam done. I am finally done with that, and now should be studying furiously. Instead of studying, I applied for a job at The Chicago Lighthouse. They have a full time OT position and a part time O&M position open. I can live with either, but prefer to do the O&M and help out in the OT department, but we'll see. Having skills should help get me at least something. I can't apply for the VA jobs yet because they don't even accept your application until after you graduate. This sucks because there are 7 positions open now. We'll see though. Maybe I can get in later. Ok I really have to study something now.

Moving forward

With the comp exams and graduation looming ahead of me, Alan has been working diligently to get us moved. He got the word yesterday that we do indeed have an apartment in Chicago available June 1. Yay! We won't be homeless. So the only thing left to do is find me a job. Ugh!
