Vacation continued...

We left D.C. area early Monday morning for the long drive to the Stimmel's. Monday night Staci made some really good spaghetti and cheese bread with cheesecake for dessert and we watched Flight of the Phoenix. Yesterday, we (minus Adam) headed to Roanoke for shopping via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very spectacular view of the Virginia valley. Last night was good Mexican food to celebrate Adam's interview in VanWert, OH next week. Today, we headed to Lynchburg for some more shopping and Chick-a-fila. Mmmm. The weather is beautiful here, sunny and 70. More fun to come.

My first real day in DC....

First of all Happy Easter to everyone I didn't talk to today. Today Austin was up early to find Easter eggs. It was too cute. After Easter dinner, Adam, Staci, and I went to DC to walk the Mall. We stopped at the Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and the Natural History Smithsonian. We drove by Washington Monument, the Capital, Pentagon, Arlington Cemetary, and the White House (I gave Georgey a good wave for all you Democrats). I saw a lot of the city since we got lost there 2 days in a row. Pics to follow when I get home. I forgot my address book, so if you want me to send you a postcard, email me your address...well except for the obvious people like Sarah and Bryan and my parents. Those are pretty obvious. Postcards are first come, first serve.

Vacation!

I'm going on vacation so please limit your forward activity. I really don't want to come home to 100 forwards. I really don't know how much I will be checking email so calling me is a better way to get ahold of me in the next week. Happy Easter everyone!

"Honey, I'm home!"

PP finally came home tonight. When I arrived home from the grocery store, she was hiding on Estie's porch. She was full of burrs and her hair was matted and definitely could use a bath. I am glad she is home because I missed her company despite the poop on the floor and the vomit problem she has. We bonded this evening and I look forward to cuddling with her when I go to sleep tonight. I'm so glad she is safe.

A fun new game

Dan emailed me this game and I must say it is the most entertaining game I've played yet. Give it a try. Move you mouse left and right.

LOL

This is a good example of what happens when you try to post when drunk. But, since this is here, I will use it as my missing person's post. Somewhere during the drunken debauchery titled party at my house, PP escaped. So if anyone sees said cat please return her.

Rogue Festival

This weekend began the Rogue Festival here in Fresno. This is my second Rogue Festival. Last year, I was so new to it all that I now know I didn't get the full experience the festival has to offer. This year I am taking full advantage of as many performances as possible. Thus far, I've viewed The Rap Canterbury Tales, Fresneaux Ramblers, Improver Behavior (twice-primarily because they were that good and because no 2 shows are the same), Opposites Attract, Rusty Happenings, and Vince Warner. I was impressed by all the performances thus far, however, Opposites Attract was my least favorite. I'm looking forward to the next week, especially the weekend, where there are several more performances that I'll be looking forward to seeing.

Ryan's party

Ryan's going away party was a blast. Ryan (then Laura in a few weeks) is moving to Modesto. They will be missed :(
