Quote of the week

As usual, one of our patients had a classic quote for the week:

Sarah to her patient: "K.H. can you wash your feet?"

K.H.: "Not very easily"

Rick's patient: "You know an easy way to do that?"

The therapists: "How?"

Rick's patient: "Put some solution in the toilet, swish it around, put your feet in it, and flush. Does a good job."

Dinner party

Everyone (i.e. everyone that knows me personally) is invited to my house for dinner Saturday night before CPG plays at the Avalon. I am providing chicken and mac and cheese. Please let me know if you plan on coming over so that I can have an estimated head count (email, voicemail, or comment exceptable.) Dinner is at 6. Please bring a side dish or drinks to share.

Such is life...

I don't general complain about gas prices since 1) there is nothing I can do about it and 2) I need gas to get from point A to B, so it doesn't matter how much it costs, I still have to buy it. However, it seems with the recent gas prices, airline tickets are skyrocketing too. The tickets on Travelocity seem to be higher than average. I've searched Sidestep and Travel Worm looking for tickets, but the prices are even steeper on those sites. I still haven't purchased a ticket to fly home in July. I'm giving myself until Memorial Day weekend, then I may just have to take a hit and get another expensive ticket to Ohio. Not sure what the gas prices are like in Ohio, but I bought gas for $2.53 on Saturday. A week ago I drove through Mariposa and gas was over $3.

Vegas time!

For those not in the know, that need to be in the know...we have a hotel for Vegas! We will be staying at Bourbon Street Hotel and Casino, which is around the corner from Aladdin where Staci and Adam are staying. We don't have all the perks that Staci and Adam have (like a pool). I figure we can take advantage of the Aladdin's pool if we feel we want to use it.

Here's the abbreviated version: I was born and raised in Northwest Ohio. After high school, I went to college at Eastern Michigan. After college, I moved back to Ohio for a job. I then packed up and drove across the country to Fresno, California where I enjoyed warmer weather in the winter and hot summers. Then I moved to LA to attend grad school and be with my wonderful boyfriend. Now I'm engaged and living in Chicago working for the VA.
